NCPLH Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders...
Who is the course for?
Licensing law in England and Wales states that anyone who authorises the sale of alcohol to the public must hold a personal licence. Those who wish to obtain a personal licence need to apply to their local authority.
Under the Licensing Act 2003, a single integrated system has been introduced throughout England and Wales to regulate the sale and supply of alcohol, the provision of of entertainment to the public and the provision of late night entertainment.
Under the Act there is a statutory requirement that all retail sales of alcohol must be made or authorised by a Personal Licence Holder. In addition, the premises which are licensed for the sale of alcohol must have a designated premises supervisor appointed. This designated premises supervisor must be a Personal Licence Holder.
One of the statutory requirements for the grant of a Personal Licence is the possession of a relevant qualification that has been accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and by the Secretary of State for the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.
This Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders meets both the above criteria and will satisfy one of the conditions necessary to obtain a Personal Licence.
