A Little More About the Coal Exchange...
The imposing facade of the Exchange speaks of the days when Cardiff was growing fast to become the greatest coal-exporting port in the world - its wealth built on the Black Gold dug from the earth by the miners of the Rhondda and the neighbouring valleys.
The Coal Exchange was built between 1883 and 1886 to the designs of James, Seward and Thomas. It was here that Cardiff's leading businessmen-owners of shipping firms, coal mines and of allied businesses met to fix their deals, some with far distant countries. Cardiff, which half a century before had been a market town of 10,000 people with a small coastal trade, had become a commercial centre of importance on the world's stage. The first recorded million-pound business deal was struck in The Coal Exchange. NDSS Training Limited is proud to be a part of the future of this historic building.
How To Get Here...
For Sat-Nav users, the postcode for The Coal Exchange is: CF10 5EB
Free parking on the street is only available for a maximum of 2 hours. There is a Pay & Display car park available in Mermaid Quay, however this is quite expensive to use for the duration of the course, and as such we recommend travelling to the Bay by public transport.
The nearest Railway Station is Cardiff Bay, just a 2 minute walk away. Click here to plan your journey by rail.

Park and Ride services operate for those coming from outside Cardiff. Both east and west services drop off next to city centre train stations that can shuttle you to the Bay.
